"Aktion Nagacode" 

Mit der Oberin Schwester Leela wurde vereinbart, dass unsere Spenden für 2009 und evtl. 2010 an eine neue Station in Nagacode, Tamil Nadu in Südindien fließen sollen. 

Im Juni 2009 übernahmen die drei Schwestern Dharsana, Sandhya und Selvi diese total heruntergekommene Station. Dringend benötigt wird eine einfache Unterkunft, in der die Kinder und die Schwestern wohnen können. Nicht nur das ganze Leben wird sich dann in diesem Haus abspielen, sondern Waisen, Ausgesetzten sowie missbrauchten Kindern wird hier Schulunterricht erteilt. Denn nur so haben diese Kinder, die bislang keine Schule besucht haben, eine Chance für ein künftig eigenständiges Leben. Daneben planen die Schwestern die Eröffnung von Balawadis (Vorschulen), um auch Kindern aus den Slums, die nicht im Heim wohnen, eine Chance auf Bildung zu geben. Zusätzlich möchten die Mary's Frauengruppen organisieren, den Frauen Nähunterricht erteilen und diese mit Kleinstkrediten auf ihrem Weg in eine wirtschaftliche Eigenständigkeit unterstützen.

Loving greetings from Andheri!

Thank you very much for agreeing to support Nagacode project.  It is five
months since our sisters start working in Nagacode.  They have built good
rapport with the people through their regular visits to the families.  They
have children's group where they have five hundred children.  They organize
study class, games, music, computer and other different competitions in
groups.  They also have women and men's group (self help groups).  Besides
these they actively working in the parish and sub-stations.

Here with I am sending you a few photographs of Nagacode.

Hope you are keeping fine.  Here we are all fine.  All our work for the poor
and needy are going on well in all the mission stations.  Children are doing
well in their studies. At the moment we have animation program for the
sisters on personal integration and mission. It has been conducted in every
province.  South and North have already finished.  In the central province
is going on.  It is very enriching and sisters are happy with the renewal
program, our sisters are the animators.  They make it interesting through
power point presentation, sharing and discussions.

Sr. Leela is out of station.  She is on her home holidays.  She will return
end of this month.
